Ancestral Warchief

Ancestral Warchief is a skill that creates a totem which will attack enemies with melee AoE slams while the character stands close to it. Being near it also increases the character's damage. Ancestral Warchief has an attack speed multiplier of 90%.

Skill functions and interactions

• Multistrike: Ancestral Warchief can be supported by . However Vaal Ancestral Warchief does not work with this support.

• Fortify: Linking to Ancestral Warchief will cause the totem, and not the player, to gain Fortify on melee hit. This appears to be the way for a totem to have Fortify and with the Ascendant Champion Node. Totem can gain Fortify with a 14-20% chance when it stuns an enemy while wearing .

• Multiple Totems: Melee damage buff does not stack when multiple totems are summoned.

• Totem Attack Range: The range at which the totem strikes is affected by the weapon range of the equipped weapon and modifiers to weapon range.

• Area of Effect: Modifiers to area radius affect both the range at which the totem strikes, as well as the radius of the attack.

• Activation: The totem is active as long as the player remains within a 80 unit radius of it. Initial activation also requires line of sight with the player, but this can be broken once the totem has become active.

3.7.0	Now deals base damage equal to, and has an added damage effectiveness of, 110% at gem level 1 (from 100%), up to 133% at gem level 20 (from 123%). Now has an attack speed multiplier of 90% (rather than 10% less attack speed).
2.5.0	Ancestral Warchief now does 10% less damage at all levels. Fixed behaviour with the center of the slam being significantly further away than the totem's melee range. The skill now has +10 melee range at all levels, and the slam will always be centered at melee range away from the totem.
