Attack speed is a keyword and refers to attacks could be performed at a time in one second. Showing by animated action with weapon.

Mechanics

Normal attacks and attack skills derive attack speed and damage from the weapon(s) equipped. This base speed can be increased by attack speed modifiers. In general, weapons with dexterity requirements (e.g., bows and daggers) have higher attack speed than weapons with strength requirements (e.g., staves and maces). Attack speed does not increase the rate that spells can be cast. Instead, cast speed is used for that purpose.

Characters

All characters have the following attack speed stats.

• 10% more Attack Speed while Dual Wielding
• 4% increased Attack Speed per Frenzy Charge

Similar Mechanics

Action speed increases the number of animations per second that a character can use. This provides a similar effect to increased attack speed.

• % increased Action speed makes your animations faster, which is calculated separately from % increased attack speed.
