This is the awakened variant of obtainable in maps.

Skill functions and interactions

The drawback of this gem will disable the ability to apply elemental ailments with the linked skill gem, linked support gems, as well as passive buffs such as Elemental Conflux. As a result, this will limit the ability to use the following support gems unless the ailment is applied by another skill, or another player:

adds fire damage to hits against burning enemies.

multiplies hit damage (of all types) against chilled enemies.

Notably, some gems will continue to function, but in a reduced capacity:

can still be used to multiply fire damage, since it is not dependent on the status of the enemy. Only the ability to ignite is disabled.

can still be used to add cold damage to hits based on frenzy charges, but the ability to gain a frenzy charge requires killing a frozen enemy.

can still be used to add lightning damage to hits. However, the Innervate buff (adds lightning damage to hits of all skills) requires killing a shocked enemy.
