Increased Duration supports and passives will increase the lifetime of the trap.

The base duration of the immobilization is based on how much damage Bear Trap deals compared to the target's maximum Life. Skill duration and buff/debuff duration seem to increase the duration of the immobilization effect.

Though the trap technically uses a spell when activated, this spell is a secondary damage effect and thus does not get bonuses from your spell damage modifer.
