Debuff

The Corrupted Blood on you is causing you to take Physical Damage over time.

Corrupted Blood is a debuff that inflicts physical damage over time to the affected target. It should not be confused with bleeding, an ailment with a similar effect.

Mechanics

Corrupted Blood can stack up to ten times.

Just like other sources of physical damage over time, the damage is not reduced by armour, but it will be reduced by any other means of physical damage reduction, such as endurance charges or .

Using a flask with the suffix will remove all Corrupted Blood stacks and prevent any more being added during the flasks effect. Corrupted blood can also be completely avoided by using a jewel with the corrupted implicit modifier Corrupted Blood cannot be inflicted on you. • Hitting a monster with the Corrupting Blood Nemesis affix gives one stack.
• Killing a monster with the Corrupted Bloodline Bloodline affix gives one stack.
• Standing in the Rain of Blood created by Dominus' final form gives one stack per second.
• Being hit by the Cleave attack of Dominus' final form gives two stacks.
• Being hit by the Cleave attack of Q'ura (or K'aj Q'ura, the map variant in ) gives two stacks, or eight stacks in the enraged form.
• Being hit by the Hyper Beam Barrage skill of Sirus, Awakener of Worlds gives five stacks.
• Being hit by melee attacks of Kosis, The Revelation knockbacks and gives one stack.
• Standing in the beams during the fight with Ahuatotli, the Blind.

Version	Changes
3.14.0	The Corrupted Blood debuff has been updated. It now has a maximum stack size of 10 and is now consistently treated as being completely separate from Bleeding. Various Bleeding-specific modifiers that may have previously applied to Corrupted Blood will no longer apply. Modifiers that affect both Bleeding and Corrupted Blood such as the modifier on Flasks have had their descriptions updated to reflect this change. Monsters that apply Corrupted Blood have been balanced around these changes accordingly. Corrupted Blood applied by Monster modifiers now have different values, and these values are now calculated based on the Monster's level rather than its main hand damage, so some effects which raised Monster attack damage no longer scale Corrupted Blood in unintuitive ways.
3.8.2	Corrupted Blood now plays audio each time it is applied to a player.
3.6.4	Fixed a bug where some "Bleeding cannot be inflicted on you" modifiers did not prevent Corrupting Blood from being inflicted on you.
