Cruelty is a buff that grants more damage over time to skills supported by Cruelty Support.

Mechanics

Cruelty grants more damage over time with supported skills based on the percent of maximum life removed by a damaging hit. It lasts 4 seconds by default, and has a maximum effect of 50% which is unaffected by modifiers to its effect.

The effect of Cruelty is calculated using the following formula:^{[citation needed]}

where D is the is the amount of damage caused by a hit, L is the enemy's maximum life, and M is the sum of increases to Cruelty effect.
