Quick Guide[]

Hi, this is my first contribution to this wiki. I hope it is fine. I have added it in the typical format used on the RS Wiki, which is "Acts/Quick Guide". I hope this is fine. I'm a veteran RS Wiki editor and I love POE so I hope I can be of service on this wiki as well. Wonderfl (Reply) 05:10, 8 December 2020 (UTC)

Thank you for the contribution. I have some questions and feedback:
1. Purpose – I can see that the guide tries to define its scope at the very start, but no reason is given for defining it this way. What is the actual purpose of the guide? To me, it looks like a bullet point summary of the high-level actions required to complete Acts 1 through 10. I'm not sure whether that's what you intended or this is just a starting point that you plan on expanding. Either way, I think there needs to be an explanation of the guide's purpose that justifies its inclusion on the wiki as a mainspace article.
2. Title – We rarely, if ever, use subpages for mainspace articles on this wiki, which makes the title "Act/Quick Guide" look very out of place. Can you suggest another title that encompasses the purpose of the guide?
Of course, these guidelines don't apply to your own userspace; you're free to use it any way you see fit. If this guide is meant to be for your personal use only, please move it to your userspace.

Purpose - just to help experienced players, yes that is what I intended. The structure is similar to RS Wiki Quest quick guides, which quickly summarises all the steps for the fastest speedrunning, without any of the quotations or chatter or NPC dialogue, also a quick guide will contain all the steps for related activities in the correct order. Thus trying to follow that format I've included all the bandits, kill all gods, etc. Wonderfl (Reply) 09:05, 4 January 2021 (UTC)
I still don't understand the purpose of the guide. If it's meant to be a guide for speedrunning the acts, you wouldn't include all of the optional quests. You would also include actual tips for speedrunning, wouldn't you? Again, I must insist that the purpose of the guide be explained clearly so that other editors can contribute to it if they want to. If this is just meant to be your personal project, it belongs in your userspace. Vinifera7 (talk) 15:36, 10 January 2021 (UTC)
It is for speedrunning. If you can find any optional quests, please remove them. I tried to do so as far as possible. I must also ask, which quest is optional and not required for a skillpoint? Also, what are the speedrunning tips you talk of? Wonderfl (Reply) 16:47, 11 January 2021 (UTC)
Well, for example, at the top of the guide it states that it includes "All Book of Regrets Quests". If you're speed running, you would always skip these. Vinifera7 (talk) 16:50, 11 January 2021 (UTC)
Good idea, I will remove those. Wonderfl (Reply) 16:53, 11 January 2021 (UTC)
Its done. Wonderfl (Reply) 16:59, 11 January 2021 (UTC)
Title, okay got it, how about "Quick Guides for Acts" or "Acts Quick Guide" ? I moved it, hope its okay now? Please feel free to move to a page which you feel is best. Wonderfl (Reply) 09:07, 4 January 2021 (UTC)

Checklist[]

Do we have a checklist component? it would be great to allow players to tick their progress thereby making it easier to resume where they left off. It is commonplace on the RS Wiki and it would be nice if we could incorporate this component too. Wonderfl (Reply) 05:12, 8 December 2020 (UTC)
