Do you want to experience the heart-stopping surprise encounters of Invasion, risk valuable items for even more valuable rewards in Talisman, or acquire powerful crafting items in Essence? In the Legacy league, you can choose your own challenges, and even mix and match them.

The Legacy league and Hardcore Legacy league launched on March 3, 2017 along with the release of version 2.6.0, and ended on July 31, 2017, along with the launch of the The Fall of Oriath expansion. Previously, it was scheduled to end on May 29, but was extended several times.[2][3][4]
In the Legacy leagues, enemies dropped Leaguestones that could be equipped to experience one of 17 previous leagues in the next zone. Up to three Leaguestones could be equipped at a time, and Leaguestones could also have magic modifiers that altered the way the leagues are encountered. Not only was it possible to obtain league-specific items this way, the Legacy leagues offered a chance to obtain a Relic unique item, a special version of unique items with its original legacy item stats. They could be randomly obtained in an Ancient Reliquary by using an Lua error: Error: invalid field alias "items._pageName"; aliases cannot contain dots or quotes.. in a map device.
All characters and stashes were moved to Standard league and Hardcore league respectively when the leagues end. Characters that died in the Hardcore Legacy league were immediately moved to the permanent Standard league.
Challenges and Rewards[]
The Legacy leagues included 40 optional challenges. Completing them awarded the following microtransactions:
