Portal is a spell that performs the same function as a , creating a portal to the current act's town.

Skill functions and interactions

Portal is a colourless gem and can be placed into any item socket.

It is a normal spell so it is affected by support gems like , , , , etc.

Unlike most gems, Portal does not gain any experience and therefore cannot level up. It is possible to gain an additional level on a Portal gem by corrupting it with a , and the gem can also have its level temporarily increased by items or . However, increasing the gem level has no effect.

Weapon swap - Because portal can be used outside of combat without fighting enemies, it is easier to swap weapons to use it. This saves 1 gem slot for characters who don't swap weapons for anything else other than portal.
