Summon Skeletons

Summon Skeletons is a spell that summons allied skeleton warrior minions.

Skill Functions and Interactions

• - Skeletons warriors can use the skill. Skeleton mages will not.
• - Converts your Skeleton Warriors to Skeleton Mages. Skeleton Mages cast ranged fire, cold, or lightning spell projectiles. They can be modified with support gems such as .
• - When Summon Skeletons is supported with , the totem will continue to cast Summon Skeletons even if the maximum number of skeletons has been reached. Older skeletons will then be replaced by newer skeletons, possibly switching target.

Skeleton limit

By default, the player can summon up to 5 skeletons at a given time. This limit can be increased with gem level, certain passive skills or items.

Players can have a maximum of 16 Skeletons at once:

• 8 from the level 25 skill
• 2 from passive skills
• 3 from unique equipment (wearing and dual wielding )
• 1 from veiled prefix on a helmet
• 1 from veiled prefix on a body armour, or a Delve drop-only body armour with prefix
• 1 from an Elder amulet with prefix or Delve drop-only amulet with prefix

Due to version 3.0.0 changes, the legacy mod functions the same as the current mod. However, it use stat id "summon_skeletons_additional_warrior_skeleton_one_twentieth_chance", which has a value of 1 or 2 depends on lab difficulty. This difference is observable in trade search

3.10.0	Damage dealt by minions at all gem levels has been lowered by approximately 40%. This change isn't visible on the gem as it is a property of the minion itself, and does not affect Skeleton Mages or any other non-basic Skeleton minions summoned by Vaal Summon Skeletons. The number of maximum summoned skeletons you can have at gem level 20 is now 7 (from 8).
3.8.0	Now summons 2 Skeleton Warriors per cast (from 1). Now summons more Skeleton Warriors per cast as the gem levels up, up to 3 at gem level 20. Now increases your maximum Skeleton limit as the gem levels up, up to 8 by gem level 20 (from 5).

3.1.0	Summoned Skeletons now have a 50% more added damage multiplier, up from 30% less added damage. can now support Summon Skeleton and will affect the damage dealt by Skeleton Mages if you are using the threshold jewel.
3.0.0	Summon Skeletons has been renamed Summon Skeleton, and has been reworked. Many of the passives and items that interact with it have been rebalanced. Summon Skeleton now has a base cast time of 0.5 seconds, and the cost has been reduced by approximately 60% at all levels. It now summons a single skeleton per cast and has a base limit of 5 summoned skeletons. The Summoned Skeleton Warrior minion's attack time has been reduced to 0.8 seconds, and its base damage has been increased by approximately 66%. Summoned Skeleton Mage minion's cast time has been reduced to 1.2 seconds. Summoned Skeleton Mages now deal 50% more damage at gem level 20, and significantly more damage at earlier gem levels. Their behaviour has been tweaked and they will no longer flee. Labyrinth helmet enchantments for Summon Skeleton now grant a 20/40% chance to summon an additional Skeleton minion. This applies to existing Labyrinth enchantments. Catarina's crafted mod now grants +1 maximum skeleton, down from +2 maximum skeletons. Army of Bones: Renamed to To Dust. No longer grants +2 to Maximum number of Skeletons. In addition to reducing skeleton duration and increasing minion damage, it now grants 3-5% increased Skeleton Movement Speed, 7-10% increased Skeleton Attack Speed, and 7-10% increased Skeleton Cast speed. Dead Reckoning now grants the ability to summon an additional 5 Skeleton Mages, up from 3, and is now limited to 3. Queen's Decree: now grants +1 to maximum number of Skeletons, down from +2. Alberon's Warpath: now grants +1 to maximum number of Skeletons, down from +2. Midnight Bargain: now grants +1 to maximum number of Skeletons, down from +2. Lord of the Dead now +1 skeleton, down from +2. Herd the Flock no longer grants +1 skeleton.
2.6.0	Cast time reduced to 0.8 sec (down from 1 sec). Mana cost reduced by about 30% at all levels.
2.5.0	Summon Skeletons skill now deal 25% more damage. Vaal Summon Skeletons skills now have a cast time of 0.8 seconds, down from 1 second. Totems and all other minions now have 40% elemental resistance and 20% chaos resistance. This also includes minions that didn't have resistances previously, like wolves.
2.0.0	No longer deals less elemental damage but now has a new stat which reduces Minions Added Damage by 50%.
1.2.0	Summoned Skeletons deal 50% more base damage than they did previously.
1.0.6	The mana cost of the Summon Skeletons skill has been reduced at all levels. Summoned skeletons now do around 40% more damage at all levels.
0.9.12	Life increased by 50%. Skeletons are now summoned in pairs, regardless of the level of the gem. The maximum number of raisable skeletons now starts at 4 and goes up to 6 at maximum level. An additional six can be obtained from the passive skill tree.
0.9.7c	Fixed the sound effects so that it isn't too loud when multiple skeletons are summoned.
