Why does there need to be any speculation whatsoever regarding the flavour text on the wiki page? Can and will people not speculate on their own anyhow? If people can't just take it for what it is and absolutely must have something, I think the better speculation, if there MUST be a reason, is that the flavour text is a PoE take on the japanese proverb "none of us is as smart as all of us“.
