Vaal Ice Nova

Vaal Ice Nova is a vaal spell that casts an expanding circle of ice emanating from the player, which repeats off of enemies hit by it.

Skill functions and interactions

Every Nova that hits an enemy will repeat from the enemy it hit. Having more area of effect will increase the chances of novas hitting enemies and repeating.

3.14.0	Now deals 18 to 26 Cold Damage at gem level 1 (previously 11 to 17), and 518 to 762 Cold Damage at gem level 20 (previously 274 to 428). Now has a Cast Time of 0.7 seconds (previously 0.8). Now has added damage effectiveness of 120% (previously 70%). Now stores up to 2 uses (previously 1). Now has a Soul Gain Prevention duration of 2 seconds (previously 4).
2.3.0	The cast time for and have been reduced from 900ms to 800ms.
2.0.0	Critical Strike Chance increased to 6%.
1.1.0d	Vaal Skill soul counts were initially balanced for Merciless difficulty, where there are more monsters. We want them to be easier to use in Normal and Cruel difficulty. We have halved the number of souls required for each skill. In Cruel difficulty, skills require 50% more souls to uses. In Merciless difficulty, they require 100% more (which is the same as before the patch).
