Vaal Lightning Trap

Vaal Lightning Trap is a Vaal skill. It creates a trap that launches a ring of projectiles when triggered. The projectiles pierce through all targets, dealing lightning damage and leaving behind a narrow trail of shocking ground for a duration.

Skill Functions and Interactions

• Chaining: Since Vaal Lightning Trap's projectiles always pierce, then they cannot chain, so supporting it with will have no effect.

• Multiple Traps: When Vaal Lightning Trap is linked with or , additional traps are only placed if Vaal Lightning Trap has sufficient souls to do so.

• Duration: Increased Duration increases both the trap duration and the duration of the shocking ground effect.

3.14.0	Now deals 26 to 79 Lightning Damage at gem level 1 (previously 18 to 54) and 686 to 2057 Lightning Damage at gem level 20 (previously 466 to 1399). Now has added damage effectiveness of 250% (previously 170%). Now has a Soul Gain Prevention duration of 4 seconds (previously 6).
3.11.0	Now has an added Damage effectiveness of 170% (from 135%).
3.2.0	Base duration lowered to 4 seconds (from 16).Trap will now trigger at the end of its duration.
2.0.0	Damage increased by 33%. Projectiles from Vaal Lightning Trap now also have 100% pierce chance. Critical Strike Chance increased from 4% to 5%.
